Being raised in a family of artists, I know music will be an indispensable part of my life ever since I was little girl. I started chasing my dream at Xi’AN Conservatory of Music, one of top 5 music institutes in China, and studied flute performance under Professor Qinping Gao, known as the best flutist in West China.
After graduation, with passion in flute, I packed up and went to Germany to go further on this path. Overcoming the barrier of language and culture, I became the only Asian student accepted at Hochschule für Musik Würzburg in 2004. Supervised by the Head of the institute, Professor Hermann Klemeyer, at the center of Europa, I had been given chances to work with renowned flute masters, Peter-Lukas Graf, Irmela Boßler and so on. At 2006, I graduated with Master Degree and flute teaching license in Germany.
Right after I went back to China, I was hired at Nanchang University as a Flute Professor, and Head of the Teaching and Research Section. I also joined Nanchang Philharmonic Orchestra as Principal Flutist until I decided to move to Seattle with husband in 2012.
Every year we hold a flute recital for students to demonstrate their skills and progress.

Starting from my college life, I have been teaching flute for more than 17 years. It is always my belief that spreading knowledge is one of the most important missions for being a flutist.
Love it, understand it and then master it. With years of teaching expericence, I design lessons to suit each student's needs, as while as teach everything from fundamental theories to advanced performing techniques.
I am running a studio at Eastside and have a good variety of students from kids to adults, beginner to semi-professional. I encourage my students to play in all sorts of orchestras and ensembles, and help them with exams, competitions and festival events.
Lesson time can be either 45 mins or 60 mins. Please contact me for rate.
